Saga
Use
The Saga model stores a log about a student, along with all associated version history and metadata.
Fields
- Log Type
- This is a dropdown choice field with the following options:
- Anecdotal Log
- Guidance Anecdotal Log
- Teacher Anecdotal Log
- Family Director Anecdotal Log
- Dean Anecdotal Log
- Swipe Record
- This is used for autogenerated Restricted Access logs
- Most log types are for ease of sorting and viewing logs, some are auto generated (explicitly noted)
- If you school requires more log types, please contact support@mytalos.com.
- This is a dropdown choice field with the following options:
- Sub Log Type
- This is another dropdown choice field with the following options:
- General
- Email Record
- 504 Contact
- Academic
- Parent Contact
- Career Related
- Phone Contact
- Social Emotional
- These are meant to be combined with the more general log type, ie a "Teacher Anecdotal" "Email Record" log would be a teacher had an email conversation with a student, whereas a "Guidance Anecdotal Log" "Email Record" would be an email conversation had by the guidance counselor.

- This is another dropdown choice field with the following options:
- Date of Action
- The timestamp of the events described in the log
- User
- The user who is indicated to have this action (usually the same as the user creating the log)
- Created User
- The user who created the log
- This is useful is administrators are creating logs for other staff members, this will create a trail of who actually created the log
- The user who created the log
- Student
- The student the saga concerns
- Body
- The body of the log
- Priority
- The priority of the log. This controls visibility.

- History
- This is a relation to all previous versions of the log -- this is used to generate complete version histories.
