[DEPRECATED] Emails Generate Log Global

[This setting is deprecated and either does not work, or will be removed in planned versions]

This setting controls whether or not emails sent through the Send Email or Send Mass Email interfaces are able to generate logs.

Permissions

General

• Send Email
  • The send email permission controls whether or not a user can view / see the send email icon located on a student's detail page (located from Student Search).  Note, this does not give a user the ability to see a student's detail page, or otherwise change visibility of student data.
  • Recommended for any staff (including teachers), or anyone you wish to be able to send an email to students, parents, and related staff through Talos.
• Send Mass Email
  • The mass send email permission controls whether a user can use the mass sender (located in the left sidebar).
  • Recommended for administrators who you wish to be able to send an email to large groups of students and parents.
    • Sending in excess of 100k emails a month through this feature may incur additional costs to your school.

Hermes User

• View Hermes User
  • Allows users to view the Hermes Users list.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes' Administrator and any individuals you wish to edit the interface visible to users of the send email interface.
• Add Hermes User
  • Allows users to add a Hermes User.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes' Administrator and any individuals you wish to edit the interface visible to users of the send email interface.
• Delete Hermes User
  • Allows users to delete a Hermes User.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes' Administrator and any individuals you wish to edit the interface visible to users of the send email interface.

Hermes Template

• View All Templates
  • Allows a user to view all templates in the database.  This includes global templates, templates created by the user, as well as private templates created by other users.  Additionally (if the user also has the Change Template / Add Template permissions), this allows users to mark a template as a global template.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes' Administrator and any individuals you wish to view all templates in the system.
• View Templates
  • Allows a user to view their own templates and global templates.
  • Recommended for any individuals who can use the mass sender or the send email feature.
• Add Template
  • Allows a user to create a template.  They will only be able to create a global template, if they also have the View All Templates permission.
  • Recommended for any individuals who can use the mass sender or the send email feature.
• Change Template
  • Allows a user to edit a template.  They will only be able to mark a template as global if they also have the View All Templates permission.  They will be able to edit other's templates if, and only if, they have the View All Templates permission.
  • Recommended for any individuals who can use the mass sender or the send email feature.
• Delete Template
  • Allows a user to delete a template.  They will only be able to delete a global template, or template owned by another user, if they also have the View All Templates permission.
  • Recommended for any individuals who can use the mass sender or the send email feature.

Hermes List

• View Hermes List
  • Allows a user to view all mailing lists in the system.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes List's administrator and any individual you wish to manage Hermes Lists.
• Add Hermes List
  • Allows a user to add a mailing list to the system.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes List's administrator and any individual you wish to manage Hermes Lists.
• Change Hermes List
  • Allows a user to change any mailing list in the system.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes List's administrator and any individual you wish to manage Hermes Lists.
• Delete Hermes List
  • Allows a user to delete any mailing lists in the system.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes List's administrator and any individual you wish to manage Hermes Lists.

Hermes List User

• View Hermes List User
  • Allows a user to view all the Hermes List Users in the system.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes List's administrator and any individual you wish to manage Hermes List Users.
• Add Hermes List User
  • Allows a user to add a Hermes List User.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes List's administrator and any individual you wish to manage Hermes List Users.
• Change Hermes List User
  • Allows a user to change a Hermes List User.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes List's administrator and any individual you wish to manage Hermes List Users.
• Delete Hermes List User
  • Allows a user to delete a Hermes List User.
  • Recommended for your school's Hermes List's administrator and any individual you wish to manage Hermes List Users.
